Plot Summary

Chick Young (Bud Abbott) and Wilbur Grey (Lou Costello) are baggage clerks at a Florida train station when they receive a shipment of museum exhibits: two crates containing the dormant bodies of Dracula (Bela Lugosi) and Frankenstein’s Monster (Glenn Strange). Wilbur, being Wilbur, manages to accidentally revive both creatures before the crates reach the museum — and then spends most of the film trying to convince the oblivious Chick that the monsters are real.

Count Dracula’s plan involves using Wilbur’s simple, pliable brain as a replacement for the Monster’s criminal mind, making the Monster more easily controllable. He has enlisted the beautiful Dr. Sandra Mornay (Lenore Aubert) to perform the brain transplant, and she uses Wilbur’s obvious infatuation with her to keep him available. Lawrence Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.), better known as the Wolfman, arrives from Europe to warn the boys of Dracula’s scheme — but keeps inconveniently transforming into a wolf during the most critical moments.
