Plot Summary

Two career criminals have planned what they believe is the perfect bank robbery — meticulously timed, carefully researched, and designed to minimise risk while maximising reward. They have studied the bank’s layout, security systems, and daily routines, and they have chosen a moment when the maximum amount of cash will be available with the minimum number of staff present.

The robbery itself goes largely according to plan, with the criminals overpowering the bank manager and his young secretary with cold efficiency. Needing time to make their escape before the alarm is raised, the robbers lock their two hostages inside the bank’s strongroom — a massive, reinforced vault designed to protect money and valuables from theft. What the criminals either do not know or do not care about is that the vault is effectively airtight, and with its heavy door sealed shut, the oxygen supply inside will be exhausted within hours.
