Plot Summary

James Vanning (Aldo Ray) is a commercial artist on the run, suspected by both the police and a pair of ruthless criminals of killing his friend and stealing a bag containing $350,000 from a bank robbery. In truth, Vanning is entirely innocent — he stumbled upon the aftermath of the crime during a hunting trip in the remote Wyoming mountains and was brutally attacked by the real criminals, John (Brian Keith) and his vicious partner Red, who left him for dead in the frozen wilderness.
