Plot Summary

In the small American town of Morgan’s Creek during World War II, the exuberant Trudy Kockenlocker (Betty Hutton) sneaks away from her stern father — the local constable, Poppa Kockenlocker (William Demarest) — to attend a wild farewell party for soldiers shipping out overseas.
