Plot Summary

In seventeenth-century New France, Pierre Radisson and his partner Groseilliers are experienced coureurs des bois — frontier traders who venture deep into the wilderness to trade directly with the Indigenous peoples for the beaver pelts that Europe craves. Their expeditions have taken them farther north and west than any European before them, into territories of astonishing richness where beaver furs are abundant and the Indigenous nations are eager trading partners.
