Plot Summary

Deep in the uncharted African jungle, beyond mountains that no outsider has ever crossed, lies a hidden valley ruled by a civilisation of Amazon warrior women — fierce, disciplined, and wealthy beyond imagination. Their city is filled with gold and precious artifacts accumulated over centuries of isolation, and their existence is known to only one outsider: Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller), who has earned their trust through years of respectful contact and who has sworn to protect the secret of their location.

The peaceful arrangement is disrupted when a team of scientific explorers, led by archaeologists with interests that are not entirely academic, arrives in Tarzan’s territory. They are searching for evidence of the legendary Amazon civilisation, and they carry with them the determination and resources to find it.
