Plot Summary

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are summoned to a secret meeting with representatives of the European nation of Dovania. The Dovanian king has been assassinated, and his young heir, Prince Dorakis, is in London — and in mortal danger. A conspiracy of powerful enemies seeks to eliminate the entire royal family and seize control of the country. Holmes is asked to escort the prince safely home.

Holmes devises a plan: he will travel by air to create a visible decoy, drawing the assassins’ attention, while Watson escorts the prince aboard a passenger steamer bound for Algiers, from where the young king can be delivered safely to Dovania.
