Plot Summary

Vienna, the 1840s. Johann Strauss the Younger (Esmond Knight) is a talented but frustrated young composer living under the overwhelming shadow of his father, Johann Strauss the Elder (Edmund Gwenn), the undisputed Waltz King of Vienna whose orchestras dominate the city’s musical life.
